Of Che Má and Her Attributes[]
Much has been written, and even more whispered, about the Voice Through The Wires. The Great Old One best known as Dani's Mom is highly worshipped in Discordia, and rightfully so: she has changed history no fewer than four times.
Observers may ask what Che Má stands for; what do her loyalists believe in? When the ripples of her power accumulate into movements that alter The Narrative, what ruthless dream do they birth into our world? Some of her believers simply revel in Chaos. To some, Chaos is enough, and they are valid: the universe is meaningless, and we are nothing. Others seek a glow amid the darkness: a Truth that might save lives, or lessen suffering. They too are valid, though perhaps a little too easy to trick.
The truest of her believers, Liz the Red Wizard and Sentinel of the Night Watch, would be quick to point out that chaos and truth are not opposed; indeed, as Che Má herself says, "no te des vencido ni aún vencido." Don't give up, even when given up — in this contradiction lies the reason Dani's Mom can see through the tricks of The Narrative into its True Intentions. What Dani's Mom offers is insight into The Author, with whom we play a malevolent game; The Author, who ties Gordian Knots around throats and never hesitates to pull the rope tighter.
Dani's Mom wields the knife sharp enough to cut through the impossible knot each poll offers. She sharpened this blade on countless spines from worthless books, all sacrifices on her altar. No Narrative could remain unknown; no Author could hope to hide.
And so we worship. And so we fear and beg to call. And so we remember the words and let them guide us, even in our darkest hours: No Wrong or Right. The Tale Is The Tale. Follow The Weird.

On Summoning[]
Like most Great Old Ones, the greatest care must be taken to summon Dani's Mom. There is only one living Oracle who knows the entire ritual: her daughter Dani. When one considers the myth of Dani and Her Mother, one cannot help but compare it to Athena leaping from Zeus' head; indeed, scholars agree it was taken wholesale from that legend. Like Athena, Dani is herself her own Goddess, a historian of Wisdom, drawing moments of joy that become images of history. Yet no matter which story, one detail remains: Dani is the only one who can contact Che Má.
The Oracular shrine of Dani's Mom sits South of the World, near the green Pampas. This part of South America is easy to reach and yet difficult to travel; one could reach the city, and yet easily miss the beat of its heart.
